Help Alabama’s Small Businesses
I am not a politician; I am a businessman and a farmer. I have walked the walk, and I can talk the talk. It is time for real help for Alabama’s small businesses. It is time to stop talking and start helping. It is great to bring in new business, and I will do everything I can to bring in more business and more jobs, BUT I have firsthand knowledge of the hard days of making a payroll, borrowing money, working 12 to 18 hours, wearing many hats just to make our business successful. We need to work through all channels, such as the SBA, USDA, Farm Credit, and local banks, in order to offer more programs for our small businesses that are unfortunately closing their doors every day. We need to help bring more businesses back to our downtown business districts. We need to provide low-interest and low-requirement loans for our young people to be able to start a new business from a dream. We don’t need to kick them. I want to help people live the American Dream. We need to provide mentors and funding to help them get started. Helping our existing businesses and new businesses is the only way we will revive our downtowns that are closing up every day.
