This farm operation has grown to 750 momma cows, 28 bulls and at any given time around 700 calves. All of the cows are commercial black Angus bred to Sim-Angus Bulls. As a businessman, he has built success from the ground up meeting payroll, balancing budgets, and making tough decisions that keep families and employees moving forward. His businesses include Walker Construction, an Alabama General Contracting Firm, license # 21997; Wedowee Quarry, Inc, a granite rock quarry in Wedowee, AL which was started in 2002; Hatchett Creek Leasing, a commercial real estate leasing company that owns office space, US Post Offices, retail spaces, and land; Patriot Fueling Centers in Lineville, Alex City, Wetumpka, Montgomery and a franchise store in Opp, AL; and Patriot Fuels USA Inc, a wholesale fuel supply company that sells American Gas & Diesel Fuel from Texas Refineries, pushed through American pipelines and Distributed to American Stores.

Rodney also holds interest in pine and hardwood timber production and well as a medium scale excavation company. Walker has created over a 1000 jobs in his career, paying good wages and providing good benefits for his team member employees as well as subcontractors and spin-off employees.

Rodney’s grandfathers were both World War II veterans seeing multiple actions across Europe before returning home to work in the cotton mills. His father was a Sergeant Major in the 1151st Engineering Unit before retiring with 30 years of service. Rodney was not a military veteran but choose his path of community service through being a pilot and sniper for the Clay & Randolph County Sheriff Departments saving multiple lives while performing his duties. He knows the hardships of our first responders with the loss of lives experienced in the line of duty. He also was one of the three charter members and Chaiman of the Randolph County Sheriff Department Rodeo for 9 years before passing the torch.

Now, Walker is ready to take that same spirit of service and determination to Washington, DC. as a candidate for the United State Senate. It is time to send business leaders to Washington and Montgomery. It is time to step up and save our country! We are tired of the career politicians and fat cats who go to Washington and forget about the people they are there to serve and protect.

Walker wants you to know…..“No matter how cold it gets, no matter how dark it gets, I will be there for you, because you are my people and I don’t give up on my people!”
